Today I will be making it from Guymon, OK down to McAlester, OK.  Just flatlands and wind all the way past Guthrie.  As I get near the north side of Oklahoma City I start to see damage from the  tornados.  Trees and houses.  At one nearly flattened house they are burning piles of debris from what is left of the house.  As I get on to a segment of old Route 66 outside of Chandler, OK I find another unexpected surprise (seems to be happening very often now).

A motorcycle museum suddenly appeared as I was going down Route 66 toward Chandler.  It is a very nice little museum with all my favorites: Cushman, H-D 165, Triumph, CZ, etc.  Apparently most of his business is selling Route 66 trinkets to tour groups…did not realize there was such a big business in Route 66 Tours.  He also has a very nice little Mini-Indian just like Chelsea had in the early 70’s when we lived in Alabama.  Hung around about an hour or so talking and looking at bikes, then on down to McAlester for the night.
